Jelinek Cork mosaic tiles, also known as penny cork tiles, are a distinctive and beautiful ecologically conscious surface covering made from rejected or discarded wine corks. Each tile is handcrafted by arranging cork stoppers cut into small discs into a mosaic pattern and mounting them on a protective film for easy installation. Once installed, the film is removed, and the surface is grouted and sealed, creating a durable and environmentally friendly wall, floor and other interior surface covering.
Naturally resistant to surface moisture and exceptionally dense, this long-lasting cork covering requires minimal maintenance and performs well in demanding environments. Mosaic cork tiles can be installed on walls, floors, or even curved surfaces, making them an excellent option for kitchen backsplashes, high-traffic entryways, and restaurants. The mosaic discs are unfinished so can also be stained to achieve a desired color before the tiles are grouted.

Installation & Care
Installation & Care
To simplify installation, each mosaic cork tile is mounted on a protective film. Once each tile is installed, the film is removed. This continues until all tiles are installed, the surface is then grouted and sealed to complete the installation.
Jelinek Cork Mosaic installation is similar to common mosaic and ceramic tiles using the glue then grout method and then sealed. Lining tiles up against each other creates a seamless area.
